L’Oréal Paris - True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator

L’Oréal Paris introduces its first powder highlighter specifically crafted to highlight key features or illuminate all-over.  Designed in Golden, Rose, and Ice shades that flatter every skintone from warm to neutral to cool. Golden Illuminator enhances peachy or yellow tones in warm skintones.  Rose Illuminator enhances yellow, peachy, pink or blue tones in neutral skintones.  Ice Illuminator enhances pink or blue tones in cool skin tones. The product that I purchased was in golden because I have a yellow undertone. This product goes from $8 to $16, depending on where you purchased the item. I purchased this at CVS for $13. I must admit I do love the four colors that are associated in the compact, however the highlighter did not have the shine that I was anticipating. An advantage of this highlighter compact is that it can be used for not only highlighting, but for eyeshadow. The different colors are made to complement each other, so it would look lovely in my opinion. Here are some tips.
Tip #1: To apply as a highlighter, use a small fluffy brush and apply to the highest parts of your cheek bones. This gives the illusion that your cheek bones are sticking out of your face to be more defined.
Tip #2: If you don't enjoy its subtle shine, then you can use this as a eyeshadow.

L'Oreal Paris - True Match™ Lumi Cushion Foundation

L'Oreal Paris make company had released a new line of makeup called LUMI. The LUMI line is for those who are looking for a dewy finish of foundation. the first product from this line i will be reviewing the cushion foundation. Cushion foundations grew popular is most Asian countries, the trend has traveled to the United States. It is a sponge soaked in liquid foundation in a circular compact for travel reasons. It is accompanied with a puff to apply the foundation. The coverage is sheer to medium, which means that this foundation would be used for a more natural look. it is a build able coverage for those who need help covering imperfections such as acne scars. I had my doubts for this product because I have an oily complexion, since this has a dewy finish I was expecting it to be very greasy.
The application process was easy, you dip the puff into the sponge and part it to the face instead of buffing in circular motions. it was greasy at first, however if you apply a translucent powder over, it absorbs all the oils. If you want a dewy finish then I don't suggest you apply a powder. I wore it through out the day and it lasted for a long time, which was a pleasant surprise because it is a drugstore makeup. Here are some tips:
Tip #1: Apply with a patting motion all over the face instead of rubbing in circular motions. This could cause the makeup to be uneven.
Tip #2: To build the coverage, let the foundation set then pat the sponge where you would want to blur imperfections.
Tip #3: If you do not want the dewy finish, you can apply a power so it can absorb all the oils.

Tatcha Pure One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil

Makeup remover wipes, and  facial soap don't always have the ability to take off your makeup. there is a new innovation that has come to the beauty market called Oil Cleanse. an oil cleanse is an oil that is able to remove every single bit of makeup. this includes foundation, gel eyeliner, and  claims water proof mascara.
This product, Tatcha Oil Cleansing Oil, is not a heavy oil that sits on the surface of the skin. Instead, the oil leaves your skin with a silky smooth completion while removing with only water. Soap is not needed for this product to come off. This is beneficial because oils are known to sit on the skin, then have a heavy feel. Normal make up removers have a tendency to break out the skin because of the unusual chemicals that are in the ingredients. Tatcha is made with only two ingredients, two different natural oils that replenish the skin.
Tip #1: Use 1-2 pumps of this oil.
Tip #2 : Rub into dry hands and rub with a dry face as well.
Tip #3 : Rinse with water.

Anastasia Beverly Hills - DIPBROW™ Pomade

Eyebrows seems to be the latest trend in every makeup look. Brows here, brows there, brows everywhere! Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW™ Pomade is the ideal brow enhancer for anyone who is interested in having their eyebrows "on point." The pomade comes in 11 different shades for the perfect match. If the color you choose is too dark, it can become a lighter color by blending with a mascara wand or eyebrow brush.
The product has a very silky texture, it allows you to glide against or with the direction of the eyebrow hair for a smooth application process. It has a matte finish, also EXTREMELY pigmented. This is beneficial but also has a disadvantage. For a very strong eyebrow look it is excellent because the pigmentation is so strong that it allows you to draw any shape that is desired. This product is absolutely not for a natural look. For a more natural brow I suggest purchasing their brow wiz eyebrow pencil, but I do not obtain it therefore I will not review it.
 Here are some tips:
Tip #1 : If the color you choose is too dark, it can become a lighter color by blending with a mascara wand or eyebrow brush.
Tip #2 : Apply with a thin angled brush. This allows you to create lines that look as if it was the eyebrow hair, and generally for a sharp eyebrow.
Tip #3 : If the application is messy, you can clean the edges by using concealer. Apply the concealer to a clean angled brush, then carefully outline under the brow and if necessary over the brow as well.

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Lustrous Lip Gloss

This limited-edition set contains eight best-selling Lip Gloss shades in one gift-ready box that retails for $40, for one of the glosses it retails for $16. This set contains a variety of glosses from opaque to sheer for whatever your preference may be for the day. They contain an extremely glamorous shine that accentuates your lips to appear fuller. The colors are vibrant and bold, also it has a very sweet scent. Almost like the smell of fresh baked sugar cookies.
The Colors :
Gilded: A metallic Champagne gold.
Sunset Strip: A fiery gold-flecked pink.
Dainty: An opaque retro pink.
Metallic Rose: A shimmery classic mauve.
Weekend Barbie: A vivid bright pink.
Date Night: A romantic ruby red.
Socialite: A sophisticated scarlet red.
Black Cherry: A moody plum purple.
WARNING! THIS LIP GLOSS IS VERY MESSY. These lip glosses are glamorous but have a disadvantage. They are extremely messy. They have a very thick consistency that would leave you to believe it would stick to your lips through thick and thin. That is not the case, the gloss gets on everything it touches. I do not suggest wearing them when you will have a lot of activity, such as kissing (it will get all over your significant other.) However, if you're planning to go on a night out with your friends, this would be perfect. Here are some tips:
Tip #1 : They are very messy, do not kiss anyone while wearing these.
Tip #2: These glosses have a tendency to stain so BE CAREFUL!
Tip #3 : You can mix and match. Take the lip gloss and apply as normal, then for an ombre effect, add a lighter shade to the center of your lips then blend it by smacking them together.

Limecrime Holiday Trio Review

The new limited addition Holiday Trio from the infamous Limecrime comes in three vibrant and beautiful colors: "Peacock", "Buffy", and "Beet it" (listed from left to right).
These are from the Veletine's collection. The valentines are a liquid lipstick formula that dries as a matte. In most liquid to matte lipstick it is rather drying to the lips. However, Limecrime's formula is the opposite. It is a buttery and silky feel for your lips that does not wear down throughout the day. The only disadvantage from my experience is natural dry lips. I suggest putting lip balm and/or using a lip scrub before applying this product.
Another con that is from these lipsticks is during a meal. It is the most difficult to stray away from foods with oil. While I was eating Pesto Pasta, the lipstick had completely worn off and I had to re apply once again in order to maintain my makeup look that evening. So over all here are the tips that are necessary for wearing these Velvetines from Limecrime.
Tip #1: Apply lip balm and/or lip scrub before applying.
Tip #2: Apply by using a lip brush to have a crisp outline.
Tip #3: Do not eat oily food unless you are willing to reapply the product.
